What exactly triggers this flare ups is something I dond't really know, it seems to be random, may be realted to anxiety. The afterimages stop being "in the background" and become the main focus my vision, making impossible to ignore them and driving me crazy, triggering depression and anxiety. My afterimages don't always bother me, its hard to explain, but most of the time they are "in the background" and I can completely ignore them. My static is not very bothersome, however I have very strong positive afterimages that can be quite debilitating. Since I did not have such a device, I forgot about it. Unfortunately, this App only works for devices with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. So I kept digging an found AlzLife, an smartphone App that delivers a combination of 40Hz light therapy, 40Hz sound therapy. I got even more interested when I heard that the VSI was looking into this technology as potential treatment. It caught my attention, since there was a paper that mentioned that gamma waves could abnormal in visual snow. A few years ago I read an article about how therapy with 40 Hz flickering lights and sound can be used to regulate gamma waves in the brain, which turned to be a promising treatment for Alzheimer. I would like to share my experience with a therapy option that give me some relief. Be careful who you trust, don't waste your money.
